Our Catalina line is a handmade custom guitar in its purest form. The spruce or figured maple top is hand carved outside as well as inside and finished to perfection before gluing it to the body to minimize dust collection and moisture. Our mahogany body is hollowed out, sanded and finished to further protect and stabilize the body. 

This capable beauty can soar in a rock setting or groove with a warm jazzy tone.  This guitar is craftsmanship at its finest and a true gem to place in your instrument arsenal.

At MJ Guitars we only have one quality and that is to always do the very best that we can. That same quality goes into the MJ CATALINA Hollowbody guitar. To keep the price down we forgo many of the custom extras of the MJ CATALINA LX model without sacrificing quality.

The MJ CATALINA Hollowbody guitar comes with either a soft maple suitable for a solid color or a tight grain fir top that looks nice with a warm amber tint finish. The sides and back of the MJ CATALINA are either available in poplar, intended for a solid finish, or mahogany for a clear finish.
